Text message Fraud
Just got sent this from a friend who works at vodafone.
Thought it may be helpful. Please be aware that there is an unauthorised dealership sending text messages out to various ranges of numbers, pretending to be from Vodafone. These SMS are nothing to do with Vodafone and are in fact a dealership looking to Port users to other networks. The SMS will read: 'VODAFONE CUSTOMER.. Please call ASAP regarding your mobile phone. 08700200002' The sender will show as: 'URGENT' Please can you advise your customers to forward the message on to 87726. This will be free of charge and will go directly to the Fraud, Risk and Security team. Kind Regards, Louise Pletts PA to Justin Haines ICM - Corporate & Public Sector Tel: 01635 667302 Mobile: ***** ****** Email: louise.pletts@vodafone.co.uk Vodafone Limited Site Address: Newmarket Avenue, WhiteHorseBusinessPark, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 0XQ Registered Office: Vodafone House, The Connection, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 2FN Registered in England No 1471587 |
