Seeing double - speedo

My speedo has started to show me ridiculous speed reading, double or more. It's not on and off it's constantly doubleish :scratch:

I'm thinking down the rought of a dodgy connection or broken wire so I'll strip it and have a look but i'm wondering if anyone else has had similar problems and what the cause/solutions were :smt045

The needle was off the dail coming home tonight and I clocked 80ish miles doing a 35 mile trip to work and back!!

Oh you've got a curvy. On the pointy its easy to press a button and all you see is KPH.

I had that problem, the speedo in mycase said i was doing 150mph when i was doing 20. The speedo wire was rubbing against the disk and shorted the wires. Duno in yr case though.

If its reading double, do 100 and post it on youtube
then the press can have a field day about the fastest ever speed recorded on british roads :)

LOL i would but the speedo only shows a max of 150MPH :rolleyes:
