Get a Haynes manual or download the Service manual. No offense but that should be your first port of call, rather than asking for someone to type out a guide for you here. People don't mind giving advice and help, but you'll work it out much more easily if you have a book or print off the service manual pages.

You will need replacement oil, say 4 litres of semi synthetic motorcycle oil & and a new oil filter. Get both from your local suzuki dealer if possible & you won't go wrong, but probably available from anywhere else.
You could also consider getting a replacement crush washer for the sump plug (not essential - you can reuse the existing one once or twice)

Warm the bike up a bit & switch off. Put the bike on a paddock stand if you have one to give yourself some more room (and it's stable enough not to fall off it), otherwise side stand is fine.

Put a catch tray under the sump plug (2 x 2 litre water bottles on their side, with their side cut off will do if you haven't bought a proper one. Plus newspaper/cardboard to catch the drips.

Remove the sump plug & catch the falling warm oil
Remove the oil filter. If you don't have an oil filter wrench, hammer an old screwdriver through it to get some leverage to unscrew it.

Make sure you are discarding the rubber seal with the old oil fillter.

smear some clean oil on the rubber seal of the new oil filter and screw it on to the bike, hand tight only.

Replace the sump plug & crush washer. Do not cross thread & do not overtighten just a tiny bit more than hand tight is required.

Top up oil (the filler cap is above the oil sight window) should be able to put 3 litres in before you start checking the level.
To check the level, bike must be off any paddock stand, on flat & level ground, pull the bike towards yourself while on the side stand until it is upright. Once you see the oil level to be half way in the window, start the bike & run for a minute & allow the oil to settle for a minute before checking the level again as above. & repeat until the oil is half way in the window when the bike is level.

you can order the suzuki sv650 manual from that link - 20 quid, best money I ever spent - it covers absolutely everything, from what tyre pressures should be, engine oil type, amounts, how to get bodywork off, what checks should be done at specific intervals, complete engine overhaul instructions with pictures and LOADS MORE.

there is a sump plug (nut) on the bottom of the crank case, take it out, undo the oil filler cap, oil should flow out, when empty do nut back up, pour oil in until it comes up to upper and lower marks, put cap back on, run engine gently, shut engine off leave bike to settle for a few mines then check oil level again, add oil if needed, do NOT over fill of you will have problems.

thats how you do it on a curvy, don't know about a pointy.
