14500 service
My bike is coming up to the 14500 service and I rang George White in Slough to ask how much it cost.
Around £300....:(.....:smt085 Is this well over the top or does all the work needed on the 14500 justify the cost. |
Re: 14500 service
I'm afraid so - there appears to be a metric a$$load of work on that one. The main thing done on it is the valve clearances (check and adjust if required), which appears to bump the time required up to a full day... I've just booked mine, and they need me to drop the bike off the night before for a 5pm pickup.

Re: 14500 service
Not the reply I was looking for but, I have to admit, it was the reply I was expecting.
I have to admit though that I feel confident letting George White do my work as I have used them in the past and have been more than satisfied with the service. Looks like I have to put a few quid away ready for the service then..... |
Re: 14500 service
Get them to do the valve clearances/throttle valve synch...and do the rest yourself. Dont gte a stamp in the book for it but will make it cheaper no doubt.

Re: 14500 service
Been quoted £270 for the 15k (am about 300 over the noo.) in 2wks time..........and I just remembered MOT due the day before.
Kerching! :( .....but will be all tip-top for the 1st SV Ecosse IceCream run of the year a week or so later!:cheers: |
