Help - How do i re-fit my standard can?
Hello All,
I'm selling my sv, and wanted to take off my blue titanium fuel can to sell to some lucky person on this forum. I bought a reconnection sleeve from Fuel like this one. As you can see - it only comes with one clamp type thingy. Both ends have those groove type thingies that you can see in the pic. I would have thought i would need 2 clamps to grip both parts of the standard exhust. Or do i just use the clamp in the middle? I wouldn't have thought that would be very secure and the grooves on both ends of the reconnection sleeve would be visable. |

just looks like a polished jubilee clip? - should be able to pick one up from b&q or halfords or a motor trade type outlet - could be worth googling & ringing around places in your area then you can pop along and try the size :)

They send one as they more than likely assume that you still have the one they sent you with the can, hence having the two you require. |

I wouldn't use the jubilee type clips as they are crap and you can't tighten them up properly. I would be more inclined to buy a proper exhaust clamp. I believe (know) there is someone on eBay that sells them for peanuts (cheap). |

when i did mine i found, that the pipe was very tight, and did not need clamps, although the link pipe i used was a bit longer
but it looked better without the 2 clamps |
