Hmmm, not as much as you'd first think really, bike engines don't come out upwards for a start, and generally fine movement control is better with something (ratchet strap or block & tackle) manual.

But there again if you're a tool freak ( like the best people are;)) and you want it I'm sure you can find a use :D

Cheers Mark.

disconnect and remove all the engine mounts, undo all the cables and the engine electrical multiplugs, take off front sproket and move the chain off, undo the exhaust and remove, all set ?, connect hoist to bike, press the up button, see bike frame life smoothly away with no effortand engine remain where yo blocked it, right up until the engine earthing strap tries to lift the engine to :smt103, yeah seen that :D.

No as said, it's OK but I can think of any number of ways to better spend £40 myself.

Personally, I would not put my trust in that peice of kit. For £40 it just sounds dodgy.

Wasn't intending to buy one myself but thought it might be useful for some peeps on here who carry out a bit more maintenance than my basic stuff. Thought it would be useful for helping to prevent fall/tip-over from a stand when doing a lot of heaving and the like whilst working??

Did buy a hydraulic jack and a couple of axle stands last week from Aldi for ?buttons. They look a decent quality and come with 3 year warranty.

Well thanks for posting anyways, I just would be worried about it conking out and falling on my head or something.

Perhaps Dr Rich can fit a couple to his GS's crash bars to help him out of the deeper, muddier ruts in the countryside...

... y'know, bit like a winch on a Landy. ;)

I want that. I've got absolutely no use for it, but still, I suddenly feel a pressing need for a winch.
