ground anchor removal
quicky-
ground anchor- small blue oxford one- me movin house can I drill out the ball bearing?.. then can you buy new bolts with the ball bearings to hammer in again ? ta |
Re: ground anchor removal
Thought that was the sole reason for the ball bearing - it spins in contact with drill so drill has no effect.
Get a pneumatic drill & shovel to dig it up, or leave someone a pressie & buy a new one IMHO. Best wishes for the move 'n all |
Re: ground anchor removal
Can you angle grinder the bolt head off?

I agree with Stu mate, you'll have to leave it. The nature of the thing is to resist 'attack' and removal. Mine was concreted into the garage floor when it was poured, it's going nowhere. |

Re: ground anchor removal
No, deffo not without a jackhammer and you relaying the concrete. The next owner can chain her shopping trolley to it.
Good to see you around:D |
Re: ground anchor removal
Left mine at the old house, and it was a stonking great expensive one, but nothing could get those bearings out, tried dental picks, allsorts.

Sounds more of an anti theft device than my ground anchor.... Mines still in its box in the shed whilst the bike has been in the yard for the last 4 months and the padlock and chain i was given is currently hanging off the outside tap! Maybe i need to get my **** in gear  |
