is this a good quote?

im up for renewal now, and bennets (spit) offered me 600+ for my renewel, but vowing never to use them again ive looked elsewhere this is what ive found
  • Fully Comp
  • Legal
  • personal
  • extras up to £500
  • ride ANY bike and be covered
there is a high excess but a really good premium
of £414.00 (£650ex) with Devitt
considering ive got two years NCB and 3 points + mods

what do you think? :p

Bennets. (cccchhhhh ... pfft...ding)

Insured 125 with them last january, ?250ish, changed to SV in june, ?500 ish also increased to TPFT.
Renewal comes round, bearing in mind been getting ?5-600 quotes they offer me a renewal price of ?950. No perks, no euro cover, breakdown cover extra, no mods allowed. They are on drugs.

I was with Devitt for a while I found them quite good price wise till I got my GSXR and then they got expensive, i.e £981 for fully comp on the GSXR, I shopped around and got a better deal with ebike, for £498 including free breakdown cover.

Ring round as many insurance companies as you can find, MCN is a good source for companies if you are stuck for ideas.

Bennetts did exactly the same to me, they quoted me £200 more for my second years insurance. Hadn't had any claims or anything. :smt013

I just got a good deal on my ZX today at the bike show. 347 fully comp, including breakdown home and Europe, Legal, protected no claims.

Re: is this a good quote?

I used to use eBike, who were quite reasonable ... they only put my insurance (FC) up by about £50 considering I'd had one "at fault" accident in the first year.
However, phoned around and got a quote from MCE for about £100 less than eBike :)
I hear that Tesco have also started bike insurance now ... their car insurance was always pretty good too!
