yay, :smt041its pancake day, so me and my little boy have been trying our best to flip them and stick them to the kitchen ceiling
I like mine with loadsa syrup, he likes them with apricot jam

What do you like yours with?? and how many can you manage before you feel you couldn't possibly stuff another one in??

Ahh - I am a one-legged pancake flipper extrodinaire. :D

Traditional sugar and lemon for me... and I could eat then as fast as I make 'em. Running out of eggs is usually my reaason to stop. :oops:

+1 Just had 5 to myself :D 2 with syrup 2 with copious amounts of lemon and sugar... mmm bitter sweet.

EDIT- the 5th was a 1/2 pancake also with lemon lol

Bacon, egg, mushrooms and onions cooked into the pancake, a dollop of whipped butter and maple syrup drizzled lightly over the lot. Oh, and a dollop of baked beans on the side.

So can anyone explain when pancakes are the food of the heavens, how exactly did Findus managed to remove any vestige of scrumminess from them and leave you with a half burnt, half soggy, half glutinous mass that is neither crispy or a pancake?


Any yes, I know they have three halves... that's because Findus Crispy Pancakes are just plain WRONG!

I made my pancakes last night as we had company for dinner. I make 'drop scones' rather than crepes (kinda like the little scotch pankaces you get in the supermarket). We had them with caramelised apples in brandy sauce with some decent vanilla ice cream on top. And I made loads extra which we had for breakfast.

Just finished 20 pancakes between the four of us! I love 'em! Various toppings, the usual lemon and sugar, then maple syrup, chocolate sauce with sliced banana, then sugar and lemon, chocolate sauce, maple syrup etc etc etc........
