Pirelli Super Corsas
Jeeeeesus!! They're good.
Thanks to Blue I got some ex race rubber Corsas. Stuck them on yesterday (I know I've had em for ages Blue ) and went for a ride today. Bearing in mind I came off of Pilot Power 2CTs which ain't a shabby tyre, the Pirellis are in a different league as far as grip goes. They turn in quicker than the Michelins but that hight just be cos the Michelins were old and a little squared. The Pirellis just want to get on their ear. You can just keep leaning and leaning and these things stick like **** to a blanket. I don't think I am going to get super high mileage out of them but who cares. The grip is phenominal...........did I mention the grip? |

what about the grip?;):)

Re: Pirelli Super Corsas
Its a one of those tyres you just have to try once in your life.
Unfortunately, a bit like crack cocain, you might be hooked for good. :) Which is where race scubs come in to feed the addiction :) C |

Re: Pirelli Super Corsas
Have a look at item 320215075427 on Ebay. Look in good nick.
Also set up a search that informs you of new items with the following: "120/70 160/60 Pirelli" and "120/60 160/60 Pirelli" Just take out the Pirelli for other race tyres. Alternatively, why not try and do a deal with a racer. You buy him a set of new tyres at the beginning of the season and you get his race scrubs from him for the rest of the year. Works out a good deal for both. Cheers, Carl |
Re: Pirelli Super Corsas
IF I wanted race takeoffs, I'd just go to any club racing meet, not sure if Knockhill is typical but usually there's loads for sale in the paddock, you can pick and choose.

Re: Pirelli Super Corsas
Sh1tchilins are, well **** (why does no one ever listen!?!?) ... so the Pirellis didn't have much to live up to!! :D
But yes 'corsa are greet tyres and where they are not as heat sensitive they even work well on the road 8) If it helps your search for more, try looking for Rennsports too, they are EXACTLY the same rubber (just subtly diff tread pattern). Racetehcs are also the same idea (but that little bit better still). Oh and if you think they are good now, you wanna try a set when they are new!! ;) ... Unfortunately its this last few % performance that makes racing so expensive as if you want to be ultimately competative, you need a new set every race, yes at club level that is every 7-10 miles!! ... that is correct SEVEN to TEN, not 7 thousand, not 7 hundred - seven to ten miles! |
Re: Pirelli Super Corsas
p.s. if you can't find a set for reasonable money on eBay, then you can pick them up for £60 a pair at any race meet. At least you get to check them over first at a meet ;)
