I like bertoli extra virgin olive oil, and i put it in lots of different places - over my tomatoes with basmalti viniger salt and black pepper, in the frying pan with sausages, in the oven for roast potatoes etc.

Re: Which oil?
presuming this is for an SV, for the curvy (pointys might be the smae)
oil : 10w/40 part synthetic 4 stroke location: half*rds (although its there own brand but i do use it) and any motorcycle shop if you going to change the oil get your self a new filter aswell |
Re: Which oil?
10w/40 motorbike oil, available at all good dealers and auto/motor shops.
http://www.emra.ca/Tech%20Tips/Tech%...ller%20Cap.jpg On the right hand side (when you are sitting on the bike) the is a cap which looks like this on the clutch cover (round shaped engine case in front of footpeg), you poor it in there. Best to change the oil filter too, if you do not feel confident I advise you find a mate that knows or get a mechanic to do it. |
Re: Which oil?
Right I'm on it now - just a top up for now, but intend to change the filter too next week.

Re: Which oil?
Done it bought - Gastrol GPS 10w-40, bloody expensive compared to normal car engine oil!!! £9.99 for 1 litre.
Also managed to lube and tighten the chain, used Holts universal chain lube - greenish sticky foam stuff - is this ok? .....and even got round to replacing the broken indicator from my off in Nov. I'd really like to learn how to do more but just have no idea. As you can probably tell from this post and how pleased I am about filling up with oil. |

Classic mistake. As you were gonna change the oil anyway, you should have just bought that forward or purchased 4 litres of the stuff which would have worked out far cheaper than 10quid a pop. Well done on getting hands on though. :D |
Re: Which oil?
Yeah you're right gives me some breathing space though until I buy a Haynes manual and some cheap tools.
I looked for the sump plug this morning but wasn't sure where it was!!! |
Re: Which oil?
http://www.suzukicycles.org/photos/S...engine_533.jpg If you look caefully you can see a goldish coloured bolt at the bottom of this engine, below the rectangular flat panel. This is the sump bolt. Make sure you have a large container underneath it when you undo it! |
Re: Which oil?
So it is a bolt, I'm not too sure what I was expecting to see. What size is it?
