For Sale: Dog Cam Bullet Camera & JXD Recorder

Up for sale as I don't want to take it with me! I ordered it for the Lydden track day we did in October but the video recorder never arrived in time.

I got the recorder from China, it's the:
JXD 638 mp3/mp4 player

The Dog Cam came from Dog Cam sports:
DogCam Pro 520 bullet camera package
1 x DogCam Pro 520 Camera
1 x 8 x AA Battery Holder
1 x Fixed Mount
1 x Stereo mic splitter
1 x 12v A/V Microphone
1 x DogCam Suction mount
At the time the vid recorder cost £68 & the dog cam £145. This wasn't including p&p.
I have used them twice - once for a 10 min ride around the block to make sure they worked & the second time for the 30 min ride around London.

£130 to an orger incl. Recorded P&P.

Are you interested in selling the bullet cam by itself? Price?

If so, first dibs :D

Just so as I don't put anyone else off, I'm looking at a multi-cam rig, I already have the JXD, although not the exact one Kinvig is selling.

I regularly use mine as an MP3 player whilst on the bike.

Arrived today. Cool toy :-D

What sort of recording times can you get from it?

I think the next purchases/bodgings will be a couple of decent sized SD cards, and a regulated 12v and 5v power supply.

Any ideas?

There was a thread last week about *really* cheap sd cards - you'll want one with quick writing capabilities (san disk ultra II etc)

I never got around to using the dog cam properly so I have no idea about setting up to the bike battery. As for recording times - there were probably loads of settings on the jxd that I never got round to figuring out - I was recording something silly like 10 meg a minute. Good size & quality at that rate though....

I never got around to figuring out how to use it as I originally bought it for Lydden and it arrived too late!

be careful - I think that the max memory card size for the JXD unit was 2 gig
