Free breathing air filter K2s
Anyone got one kicking about?

Re: Free breathing air filter K2s
I have on at home that I bought then decided to remove as it made the bike run lean - couldn't be bothered / afford to get her on a dyno, so it's proably had 100 miles use, still in the box. It's not K&N, its a BMC. PM me if you're interested.

Or you could chop the middle out of the OEM one :-P

Already done that!!

Re: Free breathing air filter K2s
It's not going to get much better tbh, I think only the BMC Race RS can top it in flow stakes and that not by all that much (though mine seems generally more responsive and happier with the BMC than the desnorkelled filter)
Or, you could go mad and get the Factory Pro airbox removal option :smt101 |
Re: Free breathing air filter K2s
think Pauls already had my RS race, before.

Re: Free breathing air filter K2s
The Factory Pro website's pretty rotten, but if you google this:
CRB-S36-3.7-RK3 It should take you to the right page. It's a pod filter setup, if it works as well as the K&N pods do on the SV then apparently you jet the bike almost as you would with no filter. Obviously I have no idea how well it works on the road, mind... Bikes designed for airboxes tend to run best with them on, but there's been a fair number of people with similiar setups on the SV who've said it works, just depends if you trust them. Buy me one and I'll tell you how it shakes out (and you can have my RS if it works!) :smt080 |
