gixxer front end, TLS mudguard
Putting a TLS mudguard on SRAD600 forks.
Does anyone know what the TL mudguard is like for protecting the front cylinder? Should I find a way to fit a fender extender? |
Re: gixxer front end, TLS mudguard
Will it fit?
TLS has USD forks and 600 SRAD are RWU. I wouldn't have thought they'd go together easily. |
Re: gixxer front end, TLS mudguard
Think the SRAD 600 and 750 mudguards are the same, and the TLS forks are similar to the SRAD750 ones if not the same.
Give us a minute I'll make sure. |

Yes it fits, shame about the colour though lol

Cool, that's something worth remembering.

Any idea about whether it'll wet the front plug though? :-P

One thing to bear min mind is with the forks being shorter(on the USD atleast) you'll mightrun into clearance problems between mudguard( with an extender) and radiator. Even the standard mudguard and no extender can touch IIRC Best thing to do is to lift bike, undo caps and drop down slow till forks bottom out to check above. If you reckon , an extender will work, let us know as I've got a couple of extenders from err God knows what bikes which I'm sure, you with your mad skillz can make work. Yours for the postage. One of them has Ho*da written on it though :p Ben |

Chris it does protect the plug

Big blast from the past here.
No it doesn't protect the plug, you need a fender extender. Or alternatively 2 bits of troughing, a heat gun and some gaffer tape. |
