cleaning products
.. some come on then all you cleanaholics.. what cleaning products do you use on which parts of your bike..
the good old WD40 for you all round clean but what others do you use to get your bike back to being sparkly? |
Re: cleaning products
I hope Kwak doesn't see this, there isn't enough bandwidth in the internet.

Re: cleaning products
I use standard car wash stuff to get rid of the worst. I then take everything apart and use parafin and WD40. Finally, to polish all the panels back up a good douse of pledge.
I had comments last weekend about how sparkly it was. |
Re: cleaning products
I use GT85 as it smells nicer
For the bodywork, wash with car shampoo. To polish, I then use Meguiars 3 step system as it provides a decent lasting shine. |
Re: cleaning products
I got this stuff called Muc Off.. comes in a spray. That coupled with some nice H20 and the bike comes up a treat. Granted its only a couple of months old..

Re: cleaning products
AutoGlym shampoo (has a corrosion inhibitor) to wash the bike.
Gunk Degreaser sprayed on old toothbrush to clean all the oil splash away. Autoglym Wheel cleaner for wheels and brake callipers(use another old toothbrush). Autoglym polish. Autosol on the shiny bits. Mr. Sheen on the screen. I also use Autoglym Motorbike cleaner in summer because it gets fly splat off easily without scrubbing. Spray on and leave 5 minutes, then wash as normal. You might have noticed I like Autoglym............... |
Re: cleaning products

Re: cleaning products
Tesco own brand furniture polish = cheap.

Re: cleaning products
I'm not entirely sure I understand the question...
I think I used parafin, Autoglym motorcycle cleaner, and cheap car shampoo last April... |
