Backwards steering

Hey every one.

im just wondering if anybody else rides like this. when riding my other bikes (daytona/gpz400 also my old sv when i had it) i ride like normal, as in i lean the way i want to go. i have jus aquired an old 600 bandit and when riding it i find my self leaning the oppisit way in to the turn and pushing bike round the corner rather than following it. i find this way of rideing the bike satisfying but a little weired and i dont know why i do it. maybe because the stearing is so light and it has larger bars but im not sure. i assume rideing this bike like that i wont encounter any troubles?

It's funny, first time I rode an MX bike I was 'hanging off' like I would a road bike.

I was struggling to find grip, then someone pointed out in MX you need to push the bike down into corners - it was really weird at first, but it worked!! 8)

As for a road bike, I'd say not such a great idea, unlike a MX bike, you don't NEED to do it to get grip and if anything compromising ground clearance and stuff.

Depends on how fast/hard you intend to ride, but probably not a good habit to be getting into?!!? ... but if you are comfortable with it and not pushing to hard, can;t see the harm either 8)
