Check the site out for info, but has anyone tryed anything likle this thing out? Tempted by it but not if it stops me looking around for cars.
But i'm all up for some extra protection

Saw a program on the development of this, it does have some serious benefits in the event of a serious accident working much the same as the helmets restraints in nascars, however the lost of neck mobility (which is what it's aimed at restricting in the first place) could well put you in that position more easily :eek:, it was being developed for compatition use as you don't need to keep looking around, but wasn't yet to a level to be used on the road.

maybe if they,d been around years ago when i broke my neck in a biking accident,i might not be posting this now.

Stu has an airbag jacket. I think it's hooked to his bike so if the two are parted the jacket inflates. I didn't really have the opportunity to ask too many questions as we were about to set off when I noticed it. But it didn't look cumbersome in the slightest.
