Renthal sprockets
anyone got any experience of these sprockets?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUZUKI-SV650-R...QQcmdZViewItem someone mentioned they are good becvuas they dont rust. i have noticed corrosion beginning on the steel sprocket i currently have on the bike. can anyone suggest a suitable chain for use with these sprockets thanks Alan |
Re: Renthal sprockets
I was looking at those when I changed mine - are those the alloy ones? - but was warned off them as they tend to wear quicker than steel ones IIRC...
Think mine were only 8 quid or so for the front, and 15 or so for the rear (I think) - steel JT sprockets...haven't rusted yet either... Those look good mind... BB. |
Re: Renthal sprockets
Is that an aluminium sprocket? I wouldn't use one on the road as the wear rate is higher, add to that it's for a 520 chain, which wears considerably quicker than the standard 525.

You can get renthal 525 (stock SV) sprockets too. That is probably your better option? |
Re: Renthal sprockets
that sort of puts me off - correctly i think
the person i spoke to about them said wear is faster, but only 10 quid each. my chain is ok at the moment, but a bit corroded, same for the back sprocket how much? where from? for a new chain & sprocket set |
Re: Renthal sprockets
I got mine from B & C Express - seemed pretty cheap and very knowledgable...
