Rearsets

Hello guys. One of my friends has recently asked me to design him some rearsets for his SV650. He than proceeded to tell me there may be a market for them. I was planning on retaining the stock peg and having several different options for just a stock location, and several moved back or up. Customs could also be a possibility. I'm looking to see what the riders opinions are on this. My goal would to have it be very cost effective and just as strong if not stronger than stock.

Well currently there are three options available.

Standard pegs

Adaptor plates to move the standard pegs

aftermarket rearsets

As the SV is very much a budget bike if a new rider is looking to reposition the foot pegs then the adaptor plates is the cheapest option at about £40, generally though looking for bling rear sets are rather well catered for.

Not sure where you're aiming at or price bracket you have in mind, but these would be important things to know before I could tell you whether folks would be interested or not.

Cheers Mark.

I'd say for them to have any appeal they'd have to use proper bearings, rather than the 100 quid ones that don't.

The GBmoto ones are about 140, so making a decent product for less than that is going to be a challenge.

I'll get an initial sketch up tonight sometime. The deal is right now that i want to get an idea if it will be at all profitable to put some into production. Would you like them to put your feet in a defferent location than stock? i've heard up and back and thats about all
