Security.
Anyone used anything like this before?

They're only good as a deterrant though, all the disc locks tested were broken into after 10 minutes (although some needed power tools) |

Anything's better than nothing, but if you already have a disc lock, I wouldn't "Upgrade" to a different one, unless it's properly rubish.
Bikes get nicked by: 1) Somone pushing it off down the road (Steering lock, Alarm and Disc lock help) 2) Being picked up and put in a Van (Alarm may help but we're into chains and ground anchors here) 3) Being Bike-jacked (Mercifully rare, going mon-o-man and being shot is possibly not worth it) Just think about what something stops and what you're protecting against. Even the best Disclock in the world won't stop somone with 15 minutes to spare and some know how. Jambo |
Re: Security.
Main reason for looking is that my current lock - the Oxford Boss Alarm is a bit on the large side for carrying.
Was looking to find something that will take up less space under the seat. This looks interesting tho - not sure if I like the idea or not yet http://www.whitedogbikes.com/cgi-bin...mart_disc_lock |
