I got my D675 today
OMFG!!!! What an awesome bike!!! Did the paperwork with Phil at Fowlers, seemed to take forever even though I'd paid for it already - I was desperate to see my bike - he went and rolled it out of their workshop, in the showroom they had 4 together so difficult to focus on one bike, it was so much better than I'd remembered!!! It is just so freakin' beautiful!!! But get this, I forgot my p1ssing camera!!!
Now, I believe in the motoman way of running in, bugger the stickers... It's so great to be back on 2 wheels!! Start it up, that light show!! And that triple noise!!! F*ckety f*ck I was excited. Quickly cut through the Bristol city centre traffic, this is one nimble beast!!! Could get through gaps I wouldn't even have considered on the D650. Soon onto the M32 north, up to 90 - it pulls like a train. And that howl!!!! I want more, MORE!!!! Then onto the M4 westbound, passing trucks, it pulls from next to nothing... M48, Severn Bridge to Chepstow howling gale so not nice, I hate being blown around... off at J2 onto the Monmouth road through Tintern, it's just a tad twisty, corners like on rails - holy **** those tyres are a bit aggressive - in fact I think I'm going to change the Supercorsas, they're just too scary. Overtook practically everything in sight, lots of grannies out today, Have read up a bit and I'm learning - had to hang off a bit on corners to keep the bike upright as those tyres don't have tread to the edge, not what I really like. Suspension needs a bit of tweaking as I'm slightly lighter than the average rider I guess, only 11 stone/ 70kg, brakes yep tick, stops on a sixpence, in fact they're too sharp, I've adjusted the span as it was too big a stretch. Onto the A40 at Monmouth to Ross-on-Wye, this is such a beautiful ride!!! Sadly turn left at Ross onto the A49 up to Hereford, grin getting bigger and bigger, that engine, it's fantastic!! Was never prepared for this... can't quite see the speedo (maybe just as well) as the cables are a bit in the way, will soon sort that. On through Hereford to Leominster, soon at Ludlow, Church Stretton, more twisties, and then Shrewsbury. I liked the D650 but I never really 'loved' it. I think all that's about to change. Pics tomorrow as it was getting dark by the time I got home. Ed:D |

Nice to read an impartial unbiased test on the 675 Ed. ;)
The Trumpet does seem to have it all. Looks, performance, handling, relatively exclusive and then there is the looks. :smt055:smt055 Look forward to reading more and seeing the pics. |
