What does the X mean in SV650X
There's an SV for sale I want to go and have a look at it's a 1999 SV650X. What does the X mean? Anything I should know of. The 1999 is not particularly high or anything is it?

Re: What does the X mean in SV650X
The model history goes:
X - 1999 Y - 2000 K1 - 2001 K2 - 2002 etc The early 99 bikes had an issue with the oil pickup that meant it could end up sucking on air rather than oil under hard acceleration and braking. The bikes had extra baffles fitted in the sump to fix this but many people never had a problem. Worth checking if the recall work was carried out though. Height wise all 99-02 bikes are the same. Check it over for milage, corrosion, running issues, and tasteless bolt on tat. Jambo |

Mileage is 18,000 and only one owner. So sounds ok.

It means you're an individual, you set trends instead of following them.
