Weekly mileage??
 

I've just had my mileage "assessed" by the local garage, and have been told that I may as well ride my SV into the ground at it's current rate as it won't be worth anything for resale.....

This made me think. I didn't think that my mileage was that high, compared with others, so I'm posting a poll to find out what sort of mileage you guys do...

The deal is:

- Weekly mileage only
- Not including rideouts.

I'm currently on 60-68 miles/day (gym time depending).....

I do about 125 - 140 per week commuting only.

My bike is almost on 16k at the moment.

WEll, my Bandit is now 1 year old.

Do 56 miles per day, so less that you.

I try to clean it at least every 2 weeks thoroughly.

15000 miles in 15 months. 2 months of that I was not riding cos i was repairing my first bike from an off...

I used to do 100miles/day JUST commuting, so I'd put that at a weekly riding of around 120miles/day (other rides than just commuting - eg, nipping to the shop - 8 miles each way and detours), making 600 miles a week.

Now though, I commute 12 miles a day, making a lowly 60 miles/week. Add a couple of trips to the shops etc, and call it a nice round 80.

Mine changes all the time... I was doing 130 a day, that dropped to 86 every 3 days and now I'm doing 260-300 miles a week. Due to this Helga is about 300 miles short of 60k now. And I got Helga off Scoobs Feb 2006, with 28k on the clocks, so in those 2 years I have done 32k, and thats with 3 months off with sickness and other things. Not bad me thinks.

52 miles per day commuting.

Used to be 1000+ as a courier! :shock:

90 miles a week commuting. I would say that is low to average?



I've put 13k on my k3 (approx 16k total). 3yrs owning.

Can't think of a better commuter. Nice and thin. Noisy. Reliable. Fun. Frugal. Enough "go".



No intention of chopping it in for summit else.:)
