Specialist technical issue

I wonder if anyone can help with this?

Riding along happily the other evening I notoced that my left nostril was beginning to drip. I'll spare you the full detail but after an abortive effort to stop it by lifting my visor and using my glove (ugh) I was forced to stop the bike, get a hankerchief out of my leathers and blow my nose.

I will admit the problem is not helped by my preference for naked bikes and open face helmets which mean the cold air encourages a runny nose but is there a way of solving this problem on the move or have I found the only advantage of commuting by car?

Dear Snotty of Yorkshire,

My suggestion would be the judicious use of copious amounts of cotton wool shoved fimly into the aforementioned offending nostril. If you find that the wind caused by your use of an open faced helmet removes said cotton wool, dousing it liberally with superglue before shoving it into the orifice will solve the problem.

Alternatively, buy a fulll face helmet. It may not solve the runny problem but at least no-one will notice.:D
