New 2008 SV650 - I Want One
 

Hello everyone - i want to buy one of the new 2008 sv650's but need to ask if anyone knows the exact situation as to available colours in the UK.

The SV650S is not even in the latest Suzuki 2008 catalogue.

My local dealer says colour choice is either black or grey (or black only if sport model). Yet i have found on the net a new Candy Blue SK8 bike as well at an authorised dealer. I can confirm this is the new 2008 model with twin spark plug engine and white dial clocks.

To make matters worse is the new sv650 available in white as well?

Found these new sk08 colours here but not sure if a limited model!

It does seem that certain colours are only for the US market, but you can bet your bottom dollar places like DK's and Taz Motorcycles will be bringing them over.

Well from what I can see on Suzuki UK's website, the following models are available:

Naked 2007 Pearl Nebular Black
Naked 2007 Pearl Vigor Blue (bit unsure about this one)
Naked 2007 Metallic Oort Gray
Naked 2008 Pearl Nebular Black (with the red seats)

S 2007 Pearl Vigor Blue
S 2007 Candy Sonoma Red
S 2007 Pearl Nebular Black

Sport 2008 Pearl Nebular Black (with the red seats)
Sport 2008 Metallic Thunder Gray

All these have twin spark plugs and white dials - it's not new to the 2008 model it was new on the 2007 model :)

Not so sure on the white one with the red seat off an RS125! Needs something else to break up the whiteness imo.

I've thought for a long time that if, for any reason, I was having a re spray I would have it done white and have red writing.

I love that white one, which coming from a black bike lover, is saying something. I'd junk the red seat cover though, probably in favour of a dark charcoal grey one.

UK colours for SV650 (and 650 Sport) in the 08 catalogue sat on a desk about 30 feet from me are...

Black with a vile red seat, red decals and silver-ish wheels

Grey with black wheels.

White seems to be the new "in" colour, just look at the new Ducati. Cant say I dislike it, but the red seat looks a bit tacky IMO :D
