Devils Bridge (Kirkby Lonsdale)

Guys, watch yourselves if you are planning on going to Devils Bridge any time soon. I was there with a mate earlier today & there were loads of cops checking every bike that arrived. Not exactly going to town checking everthing, but my mate got a bit of a moan for having no baffles in his exhausts. There were also a couple of guys from VOSA there making sure bikes were safe. The cop who checked me wanted to make sure lights, indicators, brakes work & checked the tyres (good job i put new tyres on about 3 weeks ago).

Slight upside is, everyone who had thier bike checked got a token for a free brew at the butty van.

Be safe out there & happy riding, Alan

its not unusual for this type of thing there. During the summer they come round to get rid of you parking all over the place...........no illegally parked SV's whilst they're around eh!

Sounds like very efficient use of council tax funding to me!

More seriously, it's probably part of a periodic planned campaign and, nowadays, it's to be expected at any popular meet. Thankfully, from what you wrote, there seemed to be a realistic safety bias - do you really want to ride with dodgy lights/brakes/tyres?
