Question to the F1 Fans in here.....
How the hell does Kimi Raikonnen get a point in the last race when he retired?
Don't you actually have to complete the race to score anything??? Or am I being naive and forgetting that Ferrari get points for literally turning up. Being that Mosely is on their pay list. |
Re: Question to the F1 Fans in here.....
Because Barrichello was disqualified for exiting the pitlane on a red light, so got put to the back.
IIRC they do some kind of strange count back system or if you are within a certain number of laps of the leader then you get classified as a finisher. I think or its something like that, Bourdais didnt actually finish either I think. But at 3 laps down he's still got points to. |
Re: Question to the F1 Fans in here.....
Cars covering less than 90% of the race winner are not classified. Kimi retired 5 laps from the end and as the race was 58 laps he covered more than 90%, only just though.

Re: Question to the F1 Fans in here.....
I'm sorry but i really tryed to get interested in F1 this year but my interest only lasted 8 laps into the first grand prix? its good to see the cars with no traction control but thats about it for my attention span.

Re: Question to the F1 Fans in here.....
Yeah I think it was a lot more intersting without traction control, but not as interesting as I used to find it as a kid. Good to see Hamilton up front though. (Also love how both ferrari drivers didn't finish and massa smashed it into the wall on the first corner (lack of traction control)
Good to have some more driver skill needed. |

roll on the first wet race :)

Lol How many people you reckon will finish? :p I think Hamilton did a great job though, Raikannen making a few mistakes, massa on the first corner, was quite a few others too, and Hamilton is quite a rookie.
