Re: front end up grade
What bike have you got? A search should bring up plenty of stuff on front end swap :)

Re: front end up grade
I think the first think you need to decide is if you want RWU forks, non-radial USD or Radial braked USD.

Re: front end up grade
Easiest option - GSXR SRAD yokes, forks, wheel, discs, calipers (4 pot not 6 pot), spindle, mudguard, and TL1000S clipons. You'll need the bearing conversion form Twin Works Factory on the US. You'll either have to rig the OEM speedo off the back wheel or go for the current mod.

Re: front end up grade
GSXR 600 K4 forks, bottom yoke/spindle, brakes and front wheel - all go straight in with no modification. I've done a straight handlebar conversion with an LSL top yoke so not sure on drop bars, and I've used aftermarket Braking discs, but they are direct replacement for the standard GSXR ones. Very, very easy to do. Only headache is getting the speedo to read correctly, still not sorted. I've also added the GSXR steering damper since this photo was taken.

A properly set up pair of gold valves, properly rated springs and the right fluid and the forks will perform superbly, arguably better or at least as good as stock GSXR forks on the SV. I've pushed 'gold valved' forks on the track pretty hard and they were as good as you would ever need. If you are going for looks then I agree, the photos above look pretty cool especially with USD forks. |

+1
As far as I know for the curvy the only yokes that will fit and retain the function of the steering lock and stops is the SRAD 750 or 600. The SRAD yokes though, don't really need to be used with SRAD forks, mine are from the 600, but K1-K3 600 would probably fit as well (with the appropriate new calipers and mudguard etc.) |
