Re: Do i buy jacking plates
Hi there,
Jack up plates do two things...firstly (and obviously) they raise the ride height of the bike, secondly it sharpens up the steering/front end response. Hyperpro offer these for £105 and 'jack' the bike up by 25mm. Hope this helps |

Re: Do i buy jacking plates
There are three types of jack up plates.
1. Shorter dog bones for the suspension linkage that raise the rear ride height. 1a. Longer dog bones to lower the ride height at the rear. 2. Plates that raise and move back the footpegs. Cheaper version of rear sets really. |
Re: Do i buy jacking plates
can I add to this.... I had my black bike 'jacked up' when I bought it, it made the handling sharper and I couldn't feel comfortable putting my feet down, which is the opposite of your question I know, but, with dogbones I might suggest you buy them off someone reputable no matter how high or how low you intend your bike to be,
as there are some out there that think they are selling you a favour, when in fact they are selling you something that is made of cheese and can therefore be a safety risk I copied my text from the thread' longer dogbones' by WOW. I'm not keen on the idea of jack up kits personally, but if you do need them please do it right! have a peek at the other thread for a picture of what cheap ones can do, think it was Lozzo that posted it |
Re: Do i buy jacking plates
