SV1000 throttle bodies on a 650?
Will the sv1000 k4 throtle bodys fit the sv650 k4 model.

Re: throtle bodys
Why? If you're TB's are too big then you'll have problems with the fuel not mixing right and other such stuff.
Not like the standard ones are overly restrictive anyway? |

Re: throtle bodys
M4, akra, arrow (iirc).
Bigger TB's won't boost the power that much with a standard engine |
Re: throtle bodys
LeoVince, M4 and Arrow full systems are the big hitters with the Pointy's, what sort of power are you after???

Re: throtle bodys
To be honest top speed hunting is a waste of time, how often is the bike there!!! An increase in BHP and Torque is easy to get with the above systems. My 750 is geared more for acceleration than speed, problem is she never wants to keep the front wheel down! This is a very expensive motor if you add up all the components prices, yes there is a increase in speed but it takes a lot of money to get there. Acceleration is the way to go with SV's.
Look at a full system, hunt around for a good price, but bear in mind you will need to get a bit of dyno time and either a PC fitted or getting the OEM CDI reworked. No point going for power if the bike don't handle though, thats the SV's Achilles heel! |
