First service- will be over 600 miles
 

my bike is booked in for next saturday, for it's first service. This is, the weather is great - does it matter if I go over the recommended mileage before the service? Or is it a no no?

Searched but couldn't find the answer.Thanks

Should be ok, its only an oil change and a bolt check.

Call the dealer and check - do not rely on "I read it on the internet" for this on.

However, my Z750 had its 600 mile service done with 840 on the clock, having been told that its ok up to about 1000 miles - tho I think they recorded the mileage as 612 on the warranty records :P

So, nothing to worry about, but just call the place thats servicing to confirm :)

I'd done about 850 when I had mine done. The dealer also said to me I would be good up to 1000 miles but best not to go over.

It's not going to explode at 601 miles, but don't take the pi$$ :-P The oil in there has had a hard time as it's been subjected to the running in. Worth changing it IMO
