Chain care

Hey, could anyone give me any advice on the best products for oiling the chain? I do everyday riding and I'm not too sure of the best products to use. Cheers,
Dustin

I use PJ1 oil every 100 - 150 miles. Chain is in perfect working order.

If you do that sort of miles daily then a fixed oiler like a scottoiler would make life much easier.

Agreed.

But you still need to occasionally give your chain a good clean with parafin or some other product. A Scotoiler is no substitue for regular chain maintenance IMHO.

We've found the Wurth Dry lube seems to do a good job on the chain on Liz's Duke which doesnt have a scotoiler on it, and the Wurth Dry lube doesnt seem to fling to badly either.

Castrol chain wax all the way for me never had a problem with chains! Touch wood (Head) most problems with chains are caused by people not lubing them often enough this will kill a chain in no time.

castrol have changed the formula of there chain wax now used to be abit thick and gloopy its alot thinner now so goes on better and soaks in then thickens up, you dont get much fling at all with this product highly recommend it.

Wurth dry chain lube and never look back. But if you ride all year round you need to clean it with parafin few times a year. To keep it nice and shiny!
