converting form pc to mac!

hello mighty org. whats the opinions on changing from using a pc to mac?? really i use my home pc for some uni work (basic word/powerpoint/excel stuff) surfing the net, e-mailing, playing with my digital pics etc.... just wondering is it a pain in the ar$e changing from pc to mac?

i'm thinking of getting a mac book pro and just wondered if i put the ms office programmes on it will they still work if i e-mail them to pc users etc.... and can i easily swap all my pics over and stuff?

i'm starting to get annoyed with my pc crashing and freezing. yes i do also like my gadgets to look cool like apple seem to do so well!

I swapped last year and haven't looked back. Haven't had a single compatability problem yet (unlike everyone I know with Vista :lol) and I run MS Office.

I switched to mac 18 months a go. I won't say one is better than another, but for me, I certainly get on better with a mac (I don't get frustrated and want to smash it to pieces...!)
The OS doesn't take long to learn at all, the only problem I have is when I'm on a windows machine... I'm so used to the shortcuts, and I really do use keyboard shortcuts on the mac a lot, that I'm a little lost on windows, or do silly things by accident :p

I switched a while back, though I didn't intend to. I bought a Mac for Mrs Wyrdness to use and then found myself using it all of the time instead of my own PC. It's definitely a lot less frustrating than Windows and you don't have to worry so much about viruses and spyware.
