Fuel queues...
Ok so due to refinery strike they're shutting a major oil pipeline. Ministers advised people not to panic buy or hoard fuel....
This morning the queue at our local station is the longest I've ever seen it. People getting a bit uptight here. Anybody else seeing this? |
Re: Fuel queues...
The Sainsbury's petrol station was really busy last night, but as we very rarely shop there that may be normal. No big queues at the Texaco petrol station near work yesterday though:smt102

Re: Fuel queues...
Could just have been this item on the news then.

Re: Fuel queues...
I think some people will just panic and run around like headless chickens at the mere suggestion of a shortage.
Anyone remember the panic over sugar shortages?:D |
Re: Fuel queues...
No, I don't buy sugar.

Re: Fuel queues...
We've had it up here since they started to close Grangemouth down, it's just that predictably the "UK" media ignored it thinking it was a Scottish only issue. They've only just noticed it's not, so now it's hysteria. But it's just as daft up here, petrol stations are running dry because of panic buying, and as a result people are panicking even more ](*,) But generally you can go round the corner and find an empty station with all the fuel you can drink.

Re: Fuel queues...
People are moron's, that's all I'm seeing.................it will be shut for a couple of days, if people just buy normally there will probably be no shortage.
