Good news for DanDare
Some of you may remember I was turned down for a job because my BMI was too high, starting a thread about how crap BMI was.
Today I received a letter apologising for the blunder in giving me the prior information and have allowed me 2 months to attain their criteria and re-sit the medical. They still intend on using the BMI scale. I was 17st 10lbs and have now reached 16st 12lbs with a strict diet and regular exercise in three weeks. My goal is to get to 16st or just under as the BMI MAX is 30 and I would be 29.5. I am 6ft 1". Those that met me on Welsh Way round will know I still have a way to go yet. Any tips from people in the know on serious weight loss sensibly or things too avoid doing, eating? Ta in advance Dan |

Re: Good news for DanDare
Use the Chew Chew diet. You can eat whatever the hell you want, but chew every mouthful 32 times. It makes you feel less hungry between meals too, so you eat less. It's quite an old diet but apparently is pretty effective.

i have lost 20 lb and saved myself a small fortune. I write out a menu for the week. buy what I need for recipes and dont buy unnecessary stuff. My shopping bill down from almost £70 a week to £35 and we now have a takeaway on a saturday.
