Global warming may stop naturally...

So what's this about green taxes then? Will we be given a tax break?

There's a big problem with this whole global warming thing right there....

....suggesting it may have been much hotter before hoomans was about

(or very much colder)

And why does nobody really go on about methane as a "greenhouse gas"? much more "potent" than carbon dioxide

The earth use to be nearly entirely covered in water.

Then it was almost intirely covered in Ice.

Oh and these massive climate difference were millions of years ago before homosapiens started apparently polluting the world

I try and stopo listening/watching the news and reading the paper, as its fulled with this sort of bullcrap nowdays.

I would like every reasonable measure to reduce 'pollution' to be pursued.
However, I could not be happier if this reduced Labour's so called green taxes that just put up the price of consumption without reducing pollution at all. i.e. fuel tax is painful but it doesn't really reduce consumption.

T'was first seen on BBC News 24 this morning. Not much better, but the Daily Mail link was just the one I picked from a google search this morning. :)

Would you prefer the telegraph? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/mai...climate130.xml

Read the FT, the financial bit is boring but the news is as is (ish). In fact there is bugger all news in reality except financial news and global political news, most of the rest is stuff that is spectating on things of no real relevance, intrusion, that kind of thing. 'Oh, look. Kate Moss' etc. And the BBC is as bad.

Or watch/read Al Jazeera.

Does it matter if efforts to "stop" global warming also happen to correlate with reductions in fossil fuel usage (which we're going to run out of one day regardless whether the world is melting or freezing), or increases in general efficiency of all resources (which I'd say is undeniably A Good Thing).

This is why I'm kinda happy to go along with the global warming thing - efforts to combat it are largely aligned (not always I grant you) with more efficient use of natural resources, which we're going to have to do one way or the other anyway.

Nope. Doesn't matter whatsoever (in terms of climate change).

Apparently we could happily go back to the days of the Industrial Revolution again (in terms of pollution given out), and global warming still may not happen.

Of course, we'd run out of everything, but we wouldn't burn to a crisp either.
