Scottoiler

Hi all,

Thinking of getting a scottoiler but not sure which type.

Have any of you got one fitted on a k6, if so are they easy to fit or am i better of going to a dealer to get it fitted as i know very little about bikes at the moment.:smt120

Where is the best place to go to get one fitted in the lancs area.

Many thanks

Shane.

PS i have read the other threads but still clueless. ](*,)](*,)

The fitting is quite straighforward, you can get a fitting instruction sheet from the scottoiler site at http://www.scottoiler.com/support_in...ion-guides.asp I used the universal kit on my K1 and it was great.

Have a read through the install notes, and if you feel you are not up to it, then any dealer should be able to fit one for you.

I'm about to fit one to a K4, really is a doddle (have fitted a few to other bikes). I had mine installed on the VFR at the dealer as they had it in bits to fit an alarm - really wish I hadn't as the install is pretty messy and looks like it was done by the YTS trainee! Fit it yourself, you will make a better job of it than a dealer that just bangs it in the first / easiest place the comes to mind.

WOW, I have just fitted it myself :p, am i a clever boy or what?????.

It looks pretty good and you can hardly see it is there.

It took me a while as i tried many different ways but i think the way i have done it is the best.

I will post some pics up later and you can give me your honest thoughts, as i may need to move the piping.

Right whats next on my "to do" list.:compress:

Re: Scottoiler

stupid question, my bike came with a scottoiler fitted. It doesn't seem to be working. Regards to the flow rate, which is the quicker flow rate? 1 or 9, and where should it be when priming the system?

sorry to ask but i didnt get instructions, and the scottiler site is useless......
