insurance stich up

so I've gone over my 5000 miles a year limit on my policy and im going abroad on the bike in a few week so phone up my brokers to tell them to make sure its all legit

go through all the "being on hold" crap for them to tell me that i was only down as having a 3000 limit when i asked for 5000 so i was way way way over

then i got told there will be a charge, so not only did i pay 10-15 quid for the call i then got a charge of 43 quid with 30 odd of it being their admin fee and on top of all that i only have a month left on the policy :smt088

he then went on and asked the mileage of the SV, so i asked why and he said so we can know as you didn't tell us last time to which i reply "and you tell me this now?" needless to say i didn't tell them

thats them off my Christmas card list :smt067

Apparently carole nash, on my policy require you to pay the first 250 of any claim if you're over mileage, I didn't tell them mileage at start of policy though.

can't they get it through MOT's?

after me owning mine for a month i had it MOT and it was at 6900 and now its about 11300 so i thought it best to cover my a$re

Wait til you're as old as Pete..............unlimited mileage makes very little difference to your insurance then:D

One month left on the policy?

Wouldn't you be better off going elsewhere and taking a new policy out?

interesting one :) if you can get less than ?500 p.a yes, but you would probably not earn your one year NCB for the 11 months just past.

They really do have you by the curlies.

I'm with Express who used to sponsor (may still do) the suzuki race team, so they offered major discounts on suzuki insurance. They were over £500 cheaper than anyone else! First year, first bike, £350! That's with breakdown, legal, no NCB, i was 21 at the time, i was very impressed with that.

However, everytime i call them to change anything, declaring mods for example, they charge me £25, g1ts!
