Re: Why do red cars...
Oh and they dont turn pink if you look after them.
I once helped a friend turn a pink old shape porcshe into a red beast again with various grades of polish and a portable polishing machine. |
Re: Why do red cars...
ours is pink if you have a lead based paint on it it will be fine ours is water based (eco friendly apparently) and goes pink in the sun
it needs a damn good wash and wax me thinks |
Re: Why do red cars...
UV rays as said above, The new water based paints need to be polished and kept clean otherwise they fade...

Doesn't seem to affect other colours as badly, either. The paint might not be as vibrant as when it was new but they don't seem to make such a distinct change as red one. I work for a car company and we're not allowed to spec red as a company car, must be because they look rubbish 10 years down the line. Can you tell I'm bored at work? |
Re: Why do red cars...
i for one despise red cars (except Ferrari) why to red cars look so bad? BMW, MERC, JAGUAR should NOT be red they should be sliver or black!
