By IT do you mean all that PC/email/spreadsheet stuff or real stuff like ATM's / insurance systems / banking systems (which is data processing to this old dinosaur)

I am employed in IT, (Project Management, but still do some code cutting because I still can). I have never in my life been any support to lusers.

I used to hate it when I would be asked for assistance and would answer I don't know. They would reply but you are the IT manager. Yes and never used excel,word etc. I have a PA for that. Then the stock answer for the luser RTFRMA.
