fitting curvy scottoiler
While it was raining today i thought i would waste some time fitting my scottoiler i bought the other week.
when i lifted the tank to find the vacuum connection i noticed that the Tee piece was a lot smaller than the hose. i noticed on the scottoiler instructions it says you need a suzuki tee piece available free of charge. has anybody just used the one supplied and just used cable ties to make sure it holds? also where is the best place to mount the RMV i was thinking of putting it behind the plastic infill's under the riders seat (is there room??) |
Re: fitting curvy scottoiler
Can't speak for the t-piece but I'd want one that fits right... As for fitting, under the left hand cover under the seat there's plenty of space, and also there's an M6 bolt hole in the frame with no bolt in it, perfect for the mounting bracket.

Re: fitting curvy scottoiler
I fitted one on my curvy the other day. I emailed Scottoiler and they were very helpful. I was sent various photos of the best place to fit and also was told the t piece was on it's way. It arrived the next day. One of the photos showed the small t piece which comes with the scottoiler being used with cable ties but he told me to ignore it as they now supply the other one. So I suppose that would work OK. If you want a copy of the pictures that he sent me then PM me your email address and I'll send them on to you.

Re: fitting curvy scottoiler
Also I fitted it just where Northwind said. If you remove the nut from the bracket the existing bolt goes straight into the frame although you may need a couple of washers or similar to ensure it becomes tight when in the right location.

Re: fitting curvy scottoiler
Yep its a good place, I have mine there too, there is a guide for the SV on the Scottoiler web site. I think if you can 't wait the free part from Scottoiler then the stuff for fish tank pies is the same.
