Just been flashed by a Gatso
 

First time in a long while- on Hook Road towards the Ace of Spades roundabout. Doing 40 (ish) in a 30.- not stupid speed, but there you go.

I'm hoping that the points don't appear- I was flashed by several cameras on the A3 between Putney and Kingston years ago in cars- never heard a thing. Anyone know what the chances are these days?

Worst comes to worst, I'll take it on the chin. but would obviously prefer not to have the points/fine or pay for a speed awareness course.

You'll probably get the choice to do a speed awareness course as its by a camera and you dont get the points so its worth doing it.

Yeah- had that a few years ago- was flashed in Milton Keynes, whose cameras are far less tolerant than round here. Fortunately, enough time's elapsed (2 years I think) since then that I've passed the compulsory points thing.

I guess I'll find out in the next week or 2!

I think most are electronic now rather than needing film so you're less likely to get away with it.

Speed cameras make my blood boil. I really hope you don't get clobbered.

Yeah- for a change, I'm not that worried, but it still plays on the old noggin a little- I'm a born worrier, see.

I won't be loosing sleep over it...

Got flashed by that camera a few years ago (used to live on Hook Road near the Maypole pub), didn't get a ticket.

Was flashed on the A27 near Arundel (dual carriageway) about six weeks ago in my car doing <cough> a little <cough> over 70, sweated it out for 2 weeks and didn't get any thing in the post.

Sorry but i cant understand how do you get caught by a gatso? there not exactly hard to miss and you should be paying attention to all surroundings, not just the road in front. Now mobile cameras i hate but big metal boxes on the side of the road are ok
