My SV650

Hiya, picked up my SV on Wednesday and been riding around loads on it.
It rides well, I like it. But the front suspension feels awfully soft, which makes even a small dent in the road seem huge!
I guess that's the same on all SVs lol

Since I have to ride half throttle for 600 miles, I been trying to go through as many of those as I could in the past few days, but only mnaged about 170miles... :( And also, the chain is really slack at the moment, do u think suzuki will tighten it for me free of charge? I only found out on Friday and am worrying that it'll come off... And... I'm findin it difficult in some corners, I just can't bring myself to drop myself into the corner like I used to...

But yea, apart from that I'm really enjoying it, can't wait till I can use its full power though, it'll be fantastic fun then! Yay!

If you are worried about the chain I'd drop by the dealer for some piece of mind. There should be 25-35 (ish) mm of travel in the play at its midpoint when the bike is on its sidestand.

The front end of the SV is quite soft, poeple often fit slightly stiffer springs and oil (parts for this are approximately 80-100 GBP and makes a big difference, others fit emulators in their front forks (a bit more expensive), and others go all the way and fit a GSXR front end. All options have their pros and cons, but is something to bear in mind once you've run the bike in and got used to it. There are plenty of threads on these front ends/suspension if you do a search.

Have fun :)
