You can normally only get it third party anyway. |
Re: Lack of funds stops trackday
I would say a sensible option. If you look at a company called Combined Insurance, they speciallise in track & race stuff.
A mate of mine had a bad off on his motorcrosser & got about £8000 off them, they pay up straight away virtually & all that for about £10 a month. :) |

If you are talking bike insurance forget it. If you can ride to and from the circuit without falling off then what makes you think you will crash there....? Just ride sensibly and have fun. If you want to get serious then it would be far cheaper to buy a dedicated track bike that you don't have to ride to the office on Monday morning than shelling out on insurance.
If you are talking personal injury insurance then that is worth getting, especially if you do any track days abroad. The NHS is brilliant at emergency work, but no so good at the aftercare, and they definitely won't fly you home from Spain etc... |

That is personal accident insurance .. i.e. if he hurts himself he gets a payout, it DOESN'T insure the bike in any way ... Track BIKE insurance isn't really VFM unless you cartwheel the bike snapping it up totally, from what I understand, things like plastics aren't covered. Basically you takes your chances, its only like you do if you had 3rd party on the road!! ;) |

Have a look at CSS and E Bike for school day insurance as that may be a better way forward |
