French fuel protestors

I was coming back on the Ferry from Cherborg at the weekend and there was a fuel protest in Cherborg. A few dozen cars/vans and hundreds of bikes producing a rolling road block fronted by a police car.

Given they were all protesting over the cost of fuel it was quite astounding that most were revving the nuts off thier bikes at 5mph many of them bouncing off the rev limiter.

If bikers need to protest that fuel is expensive can anyone see why burning 10 times more than you need to helps get your point across?

Anyone been on an English protest and seen similar behaviour? Or is it a French thing.

Well aparently some of the trucks that went to london had 1000mile round trips to get there.....bearing in mind these trucks get 4mpg they may as well have sat there revving their engines and going no where lol.
