Re: air filter k&n pipercross
Ok what do you want to accomplish.
A proper one, i.e BMC race RS can give significant power. Degutting the stock one can also flow quite well, most of the road filters are just as restrictive. If you just want more noise for free then take the foam off the underside of the tank. |
Re: air filter k&n pipercross
i just wanted a free'er flowing air filter.
i was thinking of gettin the bike dynod as it has a race exhaust and wondering if i shud change air filter aswell before i do get it dynod. graha |
Re: air filter k&n pipercross
Dyno'ing it does nothing. It's a test of how it runs that's all.
Get a new air filter if you want to, don't put it in though, take it to the dyno place, fit it then get them to rejet it. |
Re: air filter k&n pipercross
yer thats wat i mean get it set up on the rollin road rejet'd etc.
would it make any difference gettin an air filter tho? graham |
Re: air filter k&n pipercross
Is it a slipon or full system you have? Reason I ask is that unless it's a full system, you're not going to get massive gains from filter and rejet- and it's fairly pricey to have done by a pro. IMO it really makes more sense to keep with the stock filter in that case. I rejetted mine myself by trial and error which saves money but eats time, and it still needs dyno runs to check your results.
