July Excursion
 

As I didn't get my bike ride to Scotland I intend having a couple of days on the south coast. This would be two nights in Littlehampton YH[£37]
Day 1 Ride down to Littlehampton,Mid Essex to L/Hampton----135mls
Day 2 Local ride 160mls West Grinstead,Uckfield,Hawkhurst,Rye,Eastbourne,Worthi ng
Day 3 Return to Essex by a different route 120mls

DATES= 15-16-17th July

Total mileage 450miles max

Budget £150---Fuel-Accom-3Days food-2Nights out

Much as I would fancy going I am dubious about riding in big groups and much happier with either a small group 6-10 or on my own company. Not to fond of playing keep up and slowing others down as I prefer to enjoy my surounds while riding and the SV rideouts I have been on seem a bit of a chase.
Must be because I'm getting old and can't hack the modern rat race of life.

Please let me assure you that the Annual rideout is not like how you think. Last year, we kept up in the car!!!

They are not a race, and in all honesty no matter how slow you think you are/will be, there will be someone slower. They are a very well organised ride where all macho BS is left at the campsite.

I understand you reluctance, but please re-consider. They are NOT like a local hoon with a bunch of mates. Most of the time, you could be riding on your own or in a group of 6-10 people, we dont all ride wheel to wheel.

Please re-consider, and the rroads around LIttlehampton are rubish anyway ;)
