New 3G iPhone - will you get one?
After using one for a weekend (the first version) I have to say that it's superb! I'm not an Apple fan but with this they've really done wonders!!
What I especially loved was the internet surfing. My grief with the existing phones is that due to the size of the screen you cannot view pages properly and have to scroll from left to right to get a full view. Now the iphone will resize that for you and you only need to tap the screen for it to focus on something. Obviously, things like email (read/write) is easier due to the screen as well. The new 3G version will have faster internet and not a great rip-off to get as well! £35 per month plus £99 for the 8GB version with O2 I'm tempted.....you? :) |

I think I'll move back to Pre-pay ;) £35/month was unheard of 5 years ago!

I'm not saying £35 is cheap but I look at it from a perspective of you get what you pay for |

I'm seriously tempted by it, to replace my Windows no-so-smart-phone. If the iPhone is as good as everyone is saying it is, then I might well end up getting one. £35 a month is only a tenner more than I'm paying at the moment.

Re: New 3G iPhone - will you get one?
my option for an upgrade this year is the HTC TYTN II but being windows and the screen size is not helping :( saying that though I'm on a £10 per month contract with 600mins with Three.......upgrade will take me probably to £15 per month so it is an increase if I go for the iPhone.....but it does all I want and very well :D

Re: New 3G iPhone - will you get one?
Although i really like the I-phone interface, i find it massive i also dont have much use for the net whilst on the move.
However, before you rush out and buy the non expandable i-phone, have a look at the new Sony X1. Its due out later this year, and looks pretty smart. Myself, i'm wiaitng on a good old Candybar 6220 Classic. It has everything i need plus i dont have to sign up to an 18 month contract which you will with the i-phone, and i suspect the batteries will be pretty dead by that time if i-pods are anything to go by :( Its still another design classic from the fruit farmers :) |
Re: New 3G iPhone - will you get one?
im seriously tempted too, however i wont commit to an 18month contract.
However, they will be a pay as you go version according to o2! :smt031 Sold! (If its not stupidly expencive to buy on pay as you go) |

I can't believe this actually made the news yesterday. Every hour on the radio, the newsreader was wittering on about a new phone being launched. Ok, if The Gadget Show tells me about it, fine, but THE NEWS???
