SV's max lean angle?

What is the lean angle of a SV curvy S when pegs touch down? :D

Although I guess Blue probably has rearsets...

I do, and the pegs weren't down ;)

But remember, not only do I have rearsets set to the highest position possible, but an Ohlins shock extended to the max (this makes a phenomenal difference to ground clearance).

Anyway, for a better measure, I'll do the same thing you did there, but with 'phoenix' scraping its pegs ... that is totally stock, except for some 'peg raiser plates'.

it took 45deg in PSP to get the ground roughly horizontal.

As a test, I took a shot of the bike/camera angle down the straight to ensure I mounted it approx level, it appears pretty good (see below) so I'd say a stock SV (with jack-up plates) does about 45deg before pegs down :)

can't you just measure it home? from the edge of the tyre to the ouside of your front/rear peg (which ever hits the deck first)?

And how will you account for the suspension movement?!?! ;)

no.
angle changes depending on where suspension is in stroke.

Just did the same thing again with the #1 bike ... it took a rotate of 58deg in PSP to get this

58deg  ... 58 deg ... that can't be right surely?!?!!?  ... and that was staying on ... no wonder trying to push only that little bit harder saw me in the kitty litter!!

Did some homework, think its 28 deg measuring from ground to bike

I like what you have tried to do, but it doesn't hold true/accurate in 'real life'. In 'real life' the suspension will be under load (rider weight and cornering force) and the tyre will be deformed, both of which would change that angle. Good starter for ten mind 8)

you need to do some more maths and take your 28 from 90 to leave the uncompressed lean angle
