New SV Owner, with test result!

Hi all,

Just thought I'd say :smt039 and introduce myself.

I passed my CBT in September 06 and bought myself a Varadero 125, which I kept until about a month a sold on to help finance my Direct Access.

I have been busy doing alot of research into good first big bikes and that is what lead me to this forum and the SV650!

I have my Direct Access course and test this week (Wed-Fri) and I had almost decided upon not getting a bike. (I dont need it for commuting, and it would only end up being for some fair weather fun.)

However.....

Whilst quietly lurking on the forum over the past week, I came across Bluetos SV for sale, and well, I just couldn't resist!!

The bike is, in no other words... immaculate! It was just what I was looking for! So after meeting up on Thursday and agreeing a sale, Blueto (really sound guy!) was kind enough to deliver the bike to me early Saturday morning... and here she is...

Isn't she lovely!!

I have spent the weekend showing her off to friends and family when they have been round, and I cannot wait to take her out for the first time!
:smt040

This is going to be the longest week of my life waiting till my test on Friday but I am really looking forward to the DA course and getting in some good learning. I feel somewhat confident about the test, mainly due to my 20 months on the road on my 125, and I'm sure that if I fail it will be down to some stupid mistake. I am hoping that the SV sat in the garage will be even more incentive to ride well and get through the test in one piece!

I have just recieved in the post today some 2 piece RST Rift Leathers, (which I have a question about here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...22#post1539622) and I have some Puma 800 boots on there way, so I'm pretty much set.

With a bit of luck, and some sensible riding I should be enjoying the road on the SV by the end of the week, hopefully I'll see you out there!!

Soulkiss, not sure about first weekend in July, I work shifts so need to find out, that ride out looks like fun, will look into it.

neillfergie, maybe you can offer some advice to my question here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...22#post1539622

Well we might be, but if there's no petrol in Dorset, it'll be a big push :(.
